The objective of the demonstration will be to build a significant client base (100 - 250 members) to ensure a secure future for the Car sharing scheme in the city.

| The Measure |
This car sharing scheme will be launched in co-operation with a private operator. Experience, including lessons learnt, will be provided by Aalborg and Brighton & Hove who have successful and well established car-sharing schemes.
The city will prepare the introduction and appoint and accommodate dedicated parking spaces for char sharing vehicles at strategic locations in the city. The car service itself will be tendered to a private operator.

| Implementation Status |
The service is expected to become operational in the fall of 2010. The city is currently working on a business model and looking for a private operator that could be interested in exploiting the system.
At the time of the introduction the city will organize a promotional campaign which will target both individual citizens and companies that could use the car sharing for their business trips.
